HSE Advisor

We are currently seeking a Site HSE Advisor to join our team on large projects within the potash mining sector around Saskatchewan.
Position Overview:
The Site HSE Advisor will work with on-site project management and supervision staff, in conjunction with client project staff to achieve project success safely. This role will play an integral part in keeping the team safe by ensuring safe work practices and promoting a culture of safety.
Key Responsibilities:
· Actively participating, promoting, and engaging others in a culture of safety
· Inspecting earthworks and support operations to ensure compliance with HSE program
· Undertaking risk assessments, including, the development of safe work plans
· Conducting orientations/ training for employees
· Investigating, tracking, and reporting all near misses, incidents, injuries and unsafe acts or conditions
An ideal candidate:
Would possess a strong proficiency with computers, office 365, and data management systems. Having familiarity with civil construction would be beneficial to succeeding in this role, along with prior site and safety experience.
Education such as a degree/diploma/certificate or experience in a related discipline or safety designations: NCSO, CRSP, etc. will be preferred. Candidates will have to pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol screening (including cannabis) as well as have a valid driver's license to meet role requirements.
Candidate should plan for work rotations that are 11 days on, 3 days off, with an 11/12 hour day as standard, overtime is required, and 4 days are taken off for long weekends.
