Reporting directly to the Facility Manager, the Facility Supervisor is responsible for the daily and long-term maintenance operations of the plant facility, utilization of site staff and contractor support as required. Maintaining and upholding all food safety and OHS guidelines.

Supervisory experience in maintenance or facilities management
Knowledge of food industry regulations
Minimum 5 years of experience in a food manufacturing environment
Strong technical skills in facilities maintenance and non-production area janitorial sanitation
Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and commitment to safety protocols.

Actively involved in the supervision and people management of internal staff and contractors.
Develop and maintain capable and effective employees in the maintenance functions, work with
Facilities Admin Assistant to ensure training and proper competency and abilities and required tracking
Coordinate with the operations, Quality and Safety to plan and schedule work daily and long-term. Regular review of backlog list to ensure the necessary work is completed on time and actual completion times are correct.
Schedule and complete buildings and facilities in advance to ensure correct work orders and materials are available.
Ensure team are closing their work orders after work is complete.
Ensure department works within the maintenance budget.
Attend daily meetings with department manager in order to resolve issues, identify needs.
Work with Facilities Admin Assistant to maintain Paperwork (timekeeping – entering employee timecards, create and receive Purchase Orders, create and close Work Orders, update Intelex actions.
Identifying opportunities for additional improvement tasks/projects.
