Counsellor, Recovery Victoria (Permanent, Part-Time)
The Opportunity Are you passionate about walking alongside women residents in a client-centered, strength-based fashion, with trauma-informed care to empower residents to take responsibility for their recovery? Do you possess a unique combination of excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to analyze situations and information critically and accurately? As a Counsellor, Recovery you will screen, assess, instruct, coach, and counsel Sanctuary residents. You will also lead group session that foster effective learning and consistent with Biblical principles. You will have a master’s degree in counselling or a Social Work degree from a recognized, fully accredited university, as well as RCC and CCAC certification. If you have experience with counselling clients who experience various barriers, including poverty and trauma, and have excellent knowledge of alcohol & drug and mental health disorders, then this position may be the perfect fit! You will frequently deal with clients in crisis situations, brought about by diverse problems. There will be other staff nearby to assist as required. This is a permanent part-time (22.5 hours per week) position. The wage for this position is $33.53 – 36.63.
