Civil Labourer | Construction
As a key member of our construction team, the Civil Labourer will play a crucial role in supporting our Heavy Equipment Operators in the completion of various civil engineering projects. This role requires a motivated individual who can assist in moving materials, ensuring site organization, and performing tasks that contribute to the smooth operation of heavy machinery. Reporting to the Lead Foreman, the Civil Labourer will be integral to maintaining safety, efficiency, and quality on the job site.

Responsibilities
Support Heavy Equipment Operations:

• Assist Heavy Equipment Operators by moving materials and tools as required.
• Provide guidance and direction to machinery as necessary for safe and efficient operation.
• Perform manual labor tasks to support excavation, grading, and other civil construction activities.

Site Maintenance and Organization:

• Ensure the worksite is clean, organized, and free of hazards at all times.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining safety barriers and signage.
• Manage the tidiness of site trailers and storage areas, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored and secured.

General Construction Support:

• Load and unload construction materials, and move them to the appropriate locations.
• Dig trenches, compact earth, and prepare construction sites for the work to be performed.
• Assist in building and dismantling scaffolding and temporary structures as needed.
• Operate and maintain basic construction tools and equipment, including power and hand tools.

Skills Required

• Prior experience in construction labor, preferably in civil engineering projects.- Basic knowledge of safety protocols related to construction and machinery operation.
• Willingness to travel as required by project locations
• Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
• Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively with the construction team.
• Physically fit and able to work on your feet for 8-10 hours per day, with the ability to lift, climb, stand, or bend for extended periods.
• Experience with operating and maintaining basic construction tools and equipment, including power and hand tools.
