Our team is inspired to create and deliver extraordinary experiences for the people who visit and use the Park and Zoo including building friendly, supportive, effective relationships with stakeholders, community and the general public.
The Opportunity:
APC is seeking friendly and outgoing Banquet Captains who will report to the Manager, Banquets & Catering. The Banquet Captain will assist in the supervision and control of the banquet department to the required standards resulting in the complete satisfaction of guests and clients. The Banquet Captain will ensure that banquet venues are prepped to specifications, banquet staff is fully prepared, guests are well taken care of and that functions are executed as planned. This includes the set up venues for a function or event prior to the guest’s arrival and tear down the venue when the guests have left. The Banquet Captain may be required at times to be a Banquet Server. APC is offering a flexible work schedule including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Wage range: $18.40 per hour, plus participation in the tip pool program.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a fast-paced hospitality/serving industry.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a supervisory role, developing, training and taking corrective action with employees.
- Food Handlers/Smart Choices Certificate is an asset.
- Candidates must be physically capable of performing the duties of the position.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks at once.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills with the ability to resolve customer issues or complaints.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
