This role involves managing accounts payable and receivable, budgeting, account reconciliation, and providing insightful account analysis to support strategic decision-making.
Duties
- Manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and reports to provide insights into the company's financial performance.
- Oversee budgeting processes and ensure adherence to budgetary guidelines.
- Conduct account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.
- Utilize accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms for efficient financial management.
- Perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or trends that may impact financial health.
- Collaborate with other departments to streamline financial processes and improve overall efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations governing financial practices.
- Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff, fostering a collaborative team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required; CPA certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role within a corporate environment.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, including budgeting and account reconciliation.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero, Sage, or other relevant platforms.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for accurate financial reporting.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with team members and presenting financial information clearly.
