Leads Local Procurement activities and initiatives. Responsible for providing management, coaching and direction to a team of Local Sourcers and Buyers in order to achieve defined goals, the best fit conditions and flawless customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Coach, develop and provide direction and feedback to the Local Procurement team on their knowledge, skills, effectiveness and quality of their supplier contacts.
Accountable to achieve Local Procurement goals of the assigned team including optimise and reduce CUST stocks, sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contract management.
Provide day-to-day leadership and guidance to the team including monthly individual 1:1 meetings in order to achieve business and individual goals and bi-monthly team meetings.
Has a complete overview of the Purchase-to-pay process, performs regular checks and takes proactive actions if needed.
Foster strong relationships with suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions.
Maximize gross profit opportunities by ensuring pricing integrity and checking price agreements by following price governance.
Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement optimized procurement processes.
Implement and execute company policies and procedures. Ensure that team members operate at all times in accordance with the law and Company policies and procedures.
Check and release Purchase Orders for GL level.
Successfully handles escalations, complaints and claims.
Maintain and further develop a culture centered on the customer and focused on meeting and exceeding customer expectations.
Liaise with other departments (inside sales, sales, logistics, group procurement, quality,..) to resolve problems when required.
Assist in team tasks and organizational projects if needed.
Develop & follow up team performance and results through KPI’s
Your Profile
Bachelor degree level education completed
Minimum of 4 years'Procurement experience in a customer centric environment (B2B), preferable experience with Strategic Sourcing
Minimum of 4 years' leadership experience and people management
Strong negotiation skills
Experience of working in an international organization
Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and SAP (plus)

Fluent in Dutch and English all spoken and written (+ knowledge of local language French
