TOMORROWLAND FICTION
Storytelling is baked into the heart of TOMORROWLAND’s DNA. The past and future fantasy worlds and themes of the festival inspire the worldbuilding, characters and stories of fiction franchises that explore TOMORROWLAND’s central ethos: Live Today, Love Tomorrow, Unite Forever.
The Tomorrowland Fiction department is responsible for the development and distribution of stories (publishing, screen, online games) based on the TOMORROWLAND themes and worlds, and for all Fiction related commercial activities (from toys to FMCG and more). It is a fast-growing department within a one-of-a-kind creative company.
MARKETEER FICTION WITH PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS
As marketeer Fiction you will be responsible for the set-up of a creative and effective Fiction marcom plan together with the Head of Fiction and members of the Tomorrowland Marketing team, for the coordination of the B2C Fiction franchise marketing, for organising and following-up on our presence at international B2B events and for coordinating international (trade) PR for Tomorrowland Fiction. You will also provide support to various Fiction projects.
In this role you will report to the Head of Fiction and work closely with the Fiction team, the Tomorrowland Marketing & PR teams and other departments. You will also work closely with our publishers, screen partners and Fiction commercial partners (from toys to FMCG and more).
Responsibilities:
- Play a protagonist role in putting our fantasy fiction franchises on the international entertainment map working closely with the Head of Fiction
- Co-create and follow-up on a Fiction marcom & PR plan to build a global audience in a creative and ambitious way
- Ongoing day to day marketing and general support
- Align Fiction marketing & PR with and between Tomorrowland, local publishers and other partners and ensure brand consistency
- Set-up creative and clear briefings for Fiction marketing materials and follow-up
- Coordinate Fiction content and visuals with the Tomorrowland marketing and media team
- Coordinate international trade (publishing, screen, licensing) PR
- Organise Tomorrowland Fiction presence at international trade events
- Manage the Fiction marketing budget
- Evaluate campaigns
Job requirements:
- You have marketing experience with AAA international (entertainment) brands: having worked for an (international) agency, for a company that creates international brands or for a publishing or production company handling international rights.
- A minimum of 6 years’ experience in an international (brand) marketing role. Preferably both B2B (brand events/fairs) and B2C.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in PR, marketing, communication or a related field.
- An avid reader of great literature. A degree in literature may be advantageous.
- Preferably English native Proficiency, or at least superb copy skills in the English language. Dutch professional Working Proficiency. German professional Working Proficiency would be a plus.
- Experience with marketing tools and software
