Education required: You are regularly enrolled in a Master in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, or similar in an Educational Establishment located in Europe.
Language requirement: English
Expected start date: Anytime in 2024
Duration: minimum five months
Work arrangements: Hybrid, necessity to be located in Belgium
Requisite: The internship must be mandatory & done in the framework of the curriculum, for which an agreement must be signed between GSK, the student and the Educational Establishment.
Remuneration: according to Belgian legal requirements, the internship will not be paid. However, some expenses will be reimbursed.

What will you do?

• Bioinformatic data preparation, data pre-processing, quality control, bioinformatic analysis, metadata curation.
  
• Bioinformatic analysis, focused on microbiomics and basic statistical analysis.
  
• You will gain in-depth and cross-sectional insights into the GSK Vaccines R&D functions.
  

What are we looking for?

• A lively interest in data analysis for infectious diseases and/or microbiome research
  
• Skills in data analytics, statistics and/or bioinformatics are desired
  
• Strong problem-solving skills driven by curiosity
  
• Willing to learn project management skills and the ability to prioritise
