Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience;
Minimum 1 years’ experience of multivendor (e.g. Cisco, Nokia, Juniper, HPE Aruba, Dell) Routing (WAN) and Switching (LAN), as well as Enterprise environments;
A minimum of 1 years’ experience with the configuration and operation of Network Monitoring and Event Management systems , e.g. Spectrum, Splunk Cisco Prime/ISE/DNA;
Minimum qualification of associate level certification (e.g. CCNA, NRS I, DCA);
Proven experience in the use of an Incident Management System such as BMC ITSM or Service Now;
Knowledge of implementing and operating WAN and LAN technologies within an Enterprise and Services Provider network;
Knowledge of commercial IPSEC encryption solutions such as Secure Virtual Tunnels (s VTI), SSLVPN, DMVPN, GETVPN, Cisco ASA;
A thorough knowledge of English, both written and spoken;

Desirable:
General understanding of related telecommunications systems, techniques, and technologies relevant to Naa S Ao R;
Knowledge of IPv6 network technologies and concepts;
Knowledge of Datacentre technologies and Virtualized Switching;
Knowledge of implementing and operating multi-tenancy network technologies and environments network, VRF/VLAN;
Knowledge of developing and maintaining automation based on DEVNET concepts and scripts using EXPECT, Python, Ansible or PERL;
Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements;
Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
Duties/role:
Acting as the focal point to engage with Contractor’s Help desk for incidents related to Networking and Transmission services;
Proposing and implementing solutions to technical and business challenges in support of services and project managers;
Day-to-day operation of routing, switching, and wireless infrastructure of local and remote sites;
Overseeing the incident management process and team members involved in resolving the incident;
Responding to reported service incidents, identifying the cause, and initiating the incident management process;
Prioritizing incidents according to their urgency and influence on the business;
Investigating incidents;
Managing incident reporting and documentation;
Handling communications and engage stakeholders related to incidents;
Investigating and proposing long term solutions to re-occurring problems and identifying areas for greater efficiency to Line Managers as well as Services and Project Managers;
Performing other duties as may be required.
