Medi-Market is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Analyst / Power BI Expert to join our growing BI team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in transforming large and complex datasets into actionable insights, and developing advanced Power BI solutions to drive data-driven decision making across the organization. The position is based in Nivelles.

Key Responsibilities:

Advanced Power BI Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain complex Power BI reports and dashboards, leveraging advanced DAX functions, complex measures, and efficient data modeling techniques.
- Optimize report performance for large datasets, ensuring efficient data loading, processing, and visualization.
- Implement row-level security and other security measures to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
- Develop and maintain custom visuals and extensions to enhance reporting capabilities.
Data Analysis and Visualization:
- Analyze large and complex datasets from various sources to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Create compelling and informative data visualizations that effectively communicate key findings to stakeholders.
- Develop and implement data quality checks and validation procedures to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
Collaboration and Mentorship:
- Collaborate effectively with data engineers to ensure seamless data integration and preparation for analysis.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data analysts on Power BI best practices and advanced techniques.
- Actively participate in knowledge sharing and contribute to the development of the team's expertise.

Profile:

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field.
- 5+ years of proven experience as a Data Analyst with a strong focus on Power BI development.
- Extensive experience working with large and complex datasets, including data warehousing and big data environments.
- Deep understanding of data modeling techniques, including dimensional modeling and star schema design.
Technical Skills:
- Expert-level proficiency in Power BI Desktop and Power BI Service, including advanced DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling capabilities.
- Strong SQL skills with experience in querying and manipulating data from various database systems.
- Experience with performance optimization techniques for Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Knowledge of data security best practices and implementation in Power BI.
Personal Qualities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to explain complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive and self-directed with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for data and a commitment to continuous learning and development.
- Fluent in French and proficient in English. Knowledge of Italian and/or Dutch is a plus.

Plus Points:

Experience with other data visualization tools (Tableau, Qlik Sense).
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or R.
Experience with cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS).
Microsoft Power BI certifications.
