ROLE PURPOSE:
To operate airside equipment to ensure the efficient turn-round of arriving and departing aircraft in a safe and secure manner in line with the requirements of the Airside Ground Operations Manual.
The job role is fundamental to Hub Operations. The Loading and Unloading of the aircraft will have a great impact on the efficiency of the Hub operation.
The challenge of this job is to Load and unload the aircraft within very close deadlines, whilst ensuring that all relevant regulations and Quality, Safety and Security procedures are adhered to.
The Ramp Agent will report directly to the Airside Supervisor or replacement (Supervisor absence) and to the Airside Operations Manager.
YOUR TASKS:
Conduct daily equipment checks and report faulty and damaged equipment to the Airside Supervisor. Operate GSE in a safe manner in line with the requirements of the AGOM.
To conduct all daily activities in accordance with the Airside Ground Operations Manual.
Prepare all aprons for all DHL and DHL handled arriving and departing flights in line with the AGOM.
Maintain constant communication with Airside Supervisor.
Update/report to the Supervisor all issues, problems which could lead in to operational delays.
To safely operate various types of equipment for loading and unloading aircraft in line with the Airside Ground Operations Manual.
Ensure that material either entering or leaving the warehouse is placed in the correct destination/container area.
Load and off load all aircraft containers and vehicles within the given time frame to ensure that material is available for sort/uplift.
Demonstrate safe driving skills when moving material on the ramp and airside areas.
To practice good handling techniques at all times when loading and unloading loose shipments from the aircraft in accordance with the Airside Ground Operations Manual.
YOUR PROFILE:
Job holders must be able to work on their own initiative.
A full driver’s license is required in order to operate machinery.
Manual handling skills.
Job holder must be licensed to operate ramp equipment.
Good knowledge of English and Arabic Languages (verbal and written).
