About the opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Manager to take charge of transport operations leading Van services and truck (semi and rigid) transport operations in Brisbane Parcel Facility (Redbank). This pivotal role is required to improve network effectiveness via the strategic review and implementation of agreed initiatives and to ensure that all service delivery standards and compliance obligations are achieved while actively driving change to manage costs and network improvements.
You’ll also
Oversee day-to-day transport operations across the QLD region (semi and rigid transport operations in the region)
Develop and manage initiatives to enhance the Deliveries Division within Transport and Vans
Collaborate with network to optimise operations (24hr operation)
Manage costs within approved budget to drive cost-saving initiatives
Ensure high service and financial performance standards are maintained
Continuously enhance operational processes to improve customer experience
Foster a safety culture through the implementation of safety plans and strategies
Lead, mentor and develop a high-performance team to deliver customer-centric results and uphold behavioural pillars
About you You’ll be a leader motivated to bring the out the best in people, demonstrating a proven ability to uplift and inspire teams. With a strong focus on safety, you are unwavering in your commitment to maintain high standards, exhibiting strong accountability and taking ownership to drive positive change.
You’ll also need
Extensive experience in operational leadership within logistics/Linehaul
Proven track record in championing and facilitating change
Working collaboratively with all network businesses to foster change and improvements
Sound analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of safety leadership principles
Ability to develop and execute work plans effectively
Extensive understanding of key market drivers, industry bodies and latest external best practice development in safety
Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functioning team
Tertiary qualifications in logistics, business management or related field
Experience in industrial relations.
