Training Manager, Enterprise Change Management Office

The Team The Enterprise Change Management Office (ECMO) provides support and advice to AEC staff to prepare, adopt and embrace change and transformation, and strives to be the AEC’s change management centre of excellence. The ECMO’s purpose is to support the AEC to meet its full potential through realising its organisational benefits by focusing on the people side of change. This is achieved by providing the structure and support to build sustainable change management capability and maturity across the agency. The ECMO contributes to a positive work culture that enables increased productivity and the likelihood of project delivery, change success and benefits realisation. The Opportunity The EL1 Training Manager will shape the direction of capability uplift, learning and development for a strategically significant program in the AEC. Working as part of a growing, multi-disciplinary team, the Training Manager will partner with the Workforce Planning, Training and Development team in AEC, business users, the leadership team and across the program to shape the direction of training for yet to be released AEC capabilities. The position will be part of the ECMO leadership team with direct reports, so the ability to motivate a team to deliver quality and integrated outcomes will be important. This includes analysing, planning, developing and implementing training strategies and capability uplift activities to support the AEC’s transformation and change priorities. The Training Manager will contribute to team and program planning, aligning longer term plans with agency goals and objectives. To excel you’ll have:
Proven ability to drive and lead creative training strategies in a complex program environment, supporting digital transformation.
Proven critical thinking and analytical skills to assess, evaluate and plan training strategies that support users moving from the current to future state.
Extensive experience in program management, including fulfilling governance and reporting requirements.
Excellent stakeholder engagement skills including demonstrated liaison, negotiation and representation skills to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in a leadership role with the ability to manage a small geographically dispersed team.
Experience managing a small team to deliver on parallel and integrated work packages, actively managing progress against the plan and quality outcomes.
An understanding of Agile project delivery and change management frameworks and experience delivering training outcomes to support change management activities on large scale programs.
Qualifications, skills, and experience Desirable:
Qualifications in a relevant discipline, and/or membership of a relevant professional association.
