About the role
Mc Connell Dowell is currently seeking a Temporary Works Coordinator to join the Groote Eylandt Wharf Remediation Project in the Northern Territory.
We understand your time is valuable and that working hours need to be fulfilling, with challenging yet meaningful work. That’s why we’re offering a
2 & 1 roster with 30% project allowances payable on base while working on roster.
The position of Temporary Works Coordinator will see out the full life of the project with excellent development opportunities available within the wider Mc Connell Dowell business.
As the Temporary Works Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:
- Support the construction team in development of construction methodologies and associated temporary works requirements
- Ensure temporary works are designed in coordination with permanent works design and explore optimisation of both elements during design development
- Lead establishment of temporary works packages, develop and maintain temporary works registers and establish ESR process
- Identify and assign package complexity/risk ratings
- Establish temporary works budgets and forecasting of design and delivery costs
- Contribute to monthly reporting on temporary works design status and temporary works budgets to project manager
- Lead monthly temporary works risk reviews with project stakeholders and Group Engineering Services
About you
- Experience in a wide variety of projects – marine experience would be beneficial
- Sound understanding of temporary works design process
- Sound knowledge of the temporary works procedure
- Ability to forecast and manage costs
- Strong understanding of the change management procedures
- Experience and understanding in management of project risk
