About the Role As a Support Worker with Camellia Nursing and Community Services, you will be instrumental in empowering individuals with disabilities to live fulfilling lives of their choosing. Whether working in a team or independently, you will assist clients in living independently, engaging in their communities, and participating in meaningful activities. This is a casual role that includes a variety of shifts such as early mornings, afternoons, weekends, and overnight stays (both sleep and wake shifts). Flexibility to work at least three early morning shifts per week is essential. Shifts are based in the Darwin area, and candidates must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle. Key Responsibilities:
Promote Independence: Assist clients with daily living activities such as menu planning, cooking, and household chores.
Provide Personal Care: Support clients with personal hygiene, medication administration, and other care needs.
Encourage Active Lifestyles: Facilitate client participation in community activities and person-centered programs.
Implement Positive Behavior Strategies: Follow behavior support plans to encourage positive outcomes.
Communicate Effectively: Maintain clear and compassionate communication with clients' families about their progress.

Experience: Previous experience in the disability sector is essential.
Qualifications: Studying or holding a Certificate III (or higher) in Community Services is desirable.
Skills: Experience in healthcare is advantageous, particularly in personal and hygiene care.
