Description:
Internally known as the Transitions Specialist, this role will be working across our Ainslie Village and Gungahlin offices and is responsible for:
Track and monitor ended tenancies in the ACT at Ainslie Village, Common Ground and Conder.
Monitor and manage rent and non-rent arrears in ACT for Argyle Housing current clients, greater than 14 days.
Follow the Residential Tenancies ACT, and Argyle Housing policies and procedures in relation to rent/debt recovery, and issue any associated breaches.
Collate documentation and evidence in a formal, professional bundle for ACAT.
Represent Argyle Housing at ACT Civil and Administrative Tribunal.
Work collaboratively with internal functions to ensure the client needs are appropriately or adequately addressed and other functions are updated with relevant information.
Maintain and update client records and file notes in tenancy management system.
Undertake all administration tasks in relation to ending a tenancy, finalising a clients rental account and any further actions thereafter, including communications with former clients, while adhering to Argyle Housing Document expectations.
Maintain practice and performance against the National Community Housing Standards.
Undertake the debt write off process for all ACT tenancies and occupancies.
All roles within Argyle Housing are to be performed under the principle of “One Argyle” and with a commitment to client service delivery fostering the approach of ‘no wrong door’.
Skills and Experiences:
To ensure success in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Understanding of issues affecting disadvantaged groups and those with complex housing needs
- Previous administration experience
- Experience managing a portfolio of tenancies or case load
- Exceptional customer service and ability to work as part of a diverse team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and software operating systems
- Able to take initiative and improve processes and procedures to ensure positive outcomes for our clients and stakeholders
- Experience in dealing with complaints to achieve positive outcomes
