Job Title: Shipping Operations / Boarding Officer
Salary: $70,000 to $85,000 per year
Location: Ravenswood, TAS 7250
Primary Function: The purpose of this role is to act as the communication link for all stakeholders involved in the shipping cycle, requiring work undertaken both within and outside (on board vessel) the office, ensuring compliance with all government and terminal regulations and rules.
Scope of Duties:
- Attending to bulk vessels in Tasmania, including (but not limited to) ores, concentrates, metals and agricultural products with the area of Bell Bay, Burnie and Hobart.
- Control and reporting of vessel movements within the relevant Tasmanian Ports
- Ensuring customs, AQIS, Port and terminal requirements are met
- Liaison with overseas principles on a daily basis
- Attending to general customer enquiries
- Updating of data across systems
- Calculation and approval of Port Costs
- Some out of hours and weekend work will be required which is customary for the industry

Requirements for the role
- Valid Driver’s License
- MSIC Card
- Covid-19 Vaccination Certificate
- Drug & Alcohol Screening, Medical examination FFW
- Previous shipping experience essential – Minimum 2 years in a similar role
