Role Summary As the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the dealership's entire sales team, setting sales targets, managing budgets, and ensuring the team meets key performance indicators (KPIs). You will also play a critical role in training staff, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, and driving dealership profitability. This role requires strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills, with a passion for automotive sales and a deep understanding of the electric vehicle market. Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the dealership's sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
Develop and implement effective sales strategies to increase revenue and market share.
Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure objectives are met.
Provide coaching, training, and support to the sales team to improve individual and team performance.
Manage the sales budget, forecast revenue, and control expenses to ensure profitability.
Collaborate with the marketing team to plan and execute promotions and events to drive traffic to the dealership.
Maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and repeat business.
Liaise with senior management to report on sales performance and suggest improvements.
Stay updated on market trends, competitors, and customer preferences to make informed decisions.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar leadership role within the automotive industry.
Strong understanding of automotive sales processes, dealership operations, and customer service principles.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to motivate and lead a sales team to achieve targets in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail.
Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point).
Knowledge of electric vehicle sales would be highly regarded.
Ability to work onsite and manage operations at multiple dealership locations.
