Aged Care: Aged Care Nursing at Central Queensland Health
About the role:
Design, implement and evaluate a variety of recreational, diversional, and social activities to improve or maintain the physical and mental function of the residents of North Rockhampton Nursing Centre.
- Assess the needs of individual residents and plan individual lifestyle programs in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Assist residents to undertake recreational or leisure activities to ensure their wellbeing and safety.
- Liaise and network with community groups and organisations in order to maintain resident contact and involvement with the local community.
- Utilise feedback from residents and relative forums and satisfaction surveys to critically appraise recreation programs.
About you:
Non-mandatory qualifications/requirements: While not mandatory, it is highly desirable that the applicant possess or be working towards one of the following qualifications:
- Advanced Certificate in Disability Studies
- Certificate IV in Health and Community Services (Diversional Therapy)
- Certificate IV in Community Services (Community Work)
- Certificate IV in Diversional Therapy
- Certificate IV in Community Services (Leisure and Lifestyle)
- Certificate IV in Leisure and Health
- Trade level equivalent qualifications
What we offer:Salary information:
Total remuneration value of up to $34.580 p.a. is comprised of:
- An hourly rate between $34.53 - $36.30 p.h.
- 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
- 17.5% leave loading
