What this opportunity involves:
JLL are looking for a Property Officer to work onsite with one of our government accounts in Canberra, supporting the Foreign Commonwealth Development Office (FCDO) contract. Working with the Post Facilities manager, you will be responsible for assisting in the sourcing and management of site residential properties in compliance with UK government guidelines and relevant health and safety legislation.
This role will ensure that the site’s operation complies with relevant building statutory requirements and build good working relationships with various people such as FCDO staff, residents and JLL team members.
You will be joining a dynamic team, passionate about delivering innovative integrated facility and property management solutions, enabling safe, efficient, functional, and sustainable practices.
Snapshot of the role:
Sourcing and management of leased residential properties and buildings and maintaining internal and external stakeholder relationships
Provide assistance to incoming and departing staff on residential property matters and act as liaison with real estate agents and landlords
Ensure that staff residential properties offer suitable amenities and security for staff and their families that meet established Health and Safety regulations and client standards
Support activities to manage the residential estate budget including providing relevant reports for budget forecasting and monitoring
Ensure relevant contracts are in place for planned maintenance and delivery of services
Oversee general upkeep and communicate with site management team as necessary identifying any problems or issues
Deliver high standards of customer service and being responsive to staff needs and requests
Complete monthly Rent Roll and rent projections, including projected POE expenses
Ensure effective and timely communications with the client, management and staff

The Property Officer will present as a detail orientated and innovative individual with an ability to work confidently and diligently. Demonstrating excellent multi-tasking, time management and organisational skills.
You will apply your well-developed communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with contacts from a range of backgrounds. You will also be a professional, resourceful and friendly person!
University degree or equivalent qualification
Relevant experience in residential property management or related role
Knowledge of Health and Safety standards, fire and electrical safety
Knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office software and residential property management software
Understanding of relevant building statutory requirements
Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident
