Product Owner, Service Now IRM

Job Description

How will I help?

As the IRM Product Owner, you are a member of the Business Product Delivery Team with end to end accountability for IRM product delivery. You are the IRM module gate-keeper for technology, who ensures platform stability and integrity are maintained through strong leadership and governance oversight, with a watchful eye on finances.

In addition to the above you are the point of contact for the business areas using the IRM module. You will manage the product backlog, drawing on your extensive IRM knowledge to maximising the use of out of the box functionality to deliver the required outcomes to your business customers.

You lead the IRM delivery team to successfully empower business strategies through the use of Service Now. Developing a clear, compelling vision and roadmap that will bring alignment across stakeholders and the team, whilst delivering on value.

You must be willing to challenge the status quo and enable a world class service quality.

To be successful in this role, you must have strong IRM functional knowledge, the ability to execute on strategic priorities, articulate a clear vision as well as have strong problem solving and analytical skills .You must also have the ability to take an active role in delivery as well as lead a persistent team and manage customer expectations whilst delivering via a fit for purpose methodology utilising agile principles.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Providing expert advice and guidance to formulate and maintain the IRM product strategy and roadmap that will support delivering key objectives for your business areas.
• Helping customers unlock business value and accelerate the adoption of IRM capabilities on Service Now.
• Tracking the delivery of the business requirements against strategic objectives for both the business areas and the Service Now platform.
• Addressing risks or priority changes to ensure the business & platform outcomes and objectives are achieved.
• Collaborating with other product owners and key stakeholders to drive cross-functional alignment and support a coordinated delivery of product roadmaps and strategic plans.
• Prioritise the product backlog together with the business stakeholders, engineering and architecture to ensure delivery provide the most value within the agreed time and quality.
• Ensuring adherence of processes, policies, standards, and guidelines that align to best practice, standards, and controls for the Service Now platform, the IRM module and the organisation.
• Provision of consultancy and thought leadership across the business areas including the engagement and management of external experts as may be required.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role you will have the following skills, experience, education and/or expertise:

• Ten+ years' experience in a Technology corporate and matrix environment.
• Service Now IRM Product Expertise.
• Proven technical and business process experience in leading the development and delivery of Service Now solutions.
• Ideally experience with AI/ML technology and preferably experience with Service Now Virtual Agent, Predictive Intelligence and Performance Analytics products.
• Experience with Web Technologies (XML, HTML, Java Script, Web Services, etc.) and working in a Saa S environment.
• Strong qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
• Operational experience that includes working across a broad section of IT Services.
• Strong background in IT service delivery role.
• Tertiary Qualifications in IT, or equivalent experience.
• ITIL v4 certification.
