About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity to join the retail pricing team here at BOQ Group. Reporting into the Head of Consumer Pricing and Analytics, this role is responsible for leading and continually developing a small team of Negotiated Pricing Specialist. The function of this team is to support our retail distribution channels with negotiated pricing and lead retail rate changes activities, in alignment with strategic priorities.
A key part of this role is ensuring that rate changes are delivered in a timely and accurate manner. To do this effectively, you will have to utilise our pricing tools to assist decision-making, ensuring positive outcomes for the both the bank and our customers. Using these tools will give you the opportunity to review their effectiveness and find opportunities for streamlining or simplification. Continuous Improvement will be a key performance measurement for this role, so we are ideally looking for a curious individual who can challenge the status quo and play the role of SME throughout change activities.
As with most leadership roles, strong communication skills and stakeholder engagement will be paramount to the success of this individual. Outside of the negotiated pricing team, key stakeholders include our retail distribution channels, product and marketing teams. Ensuring clear and transparent communications with these teams will allow the bank to deliver successful commercial outcomes.
About you
For this role, we are looking for an even split across subject matter expertise, people leadership and continuous improvement experience. If you are from a pricing background that would be ideal however not mandatory, financial services experience will suffice.
The ability to lead and develop a small team will be crucial to success, so we’re keen to see candidates with prior team leadership experience. Finally, we are on a transformation journey in our retail bank and the pricing team plays an important role. It would be great to have someone who’s been part of a change environment and most importantly, we are seeking an individual who can generate ideas to improve how we work and execute upon those ideas in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
