THE ROLE:
We are looking for a team leader for our Platforms & Cloud support team. The role is responsible for a team of up to 7 staff and involves both management duties and hands-on technical work. The Platforms and Cloud Support team is part of the Enterprise Platforms & Networks team that support a mix of cloud, on-premises systems and hardware used by staff across a global network of over 50 countries.
DUTIES INCLUDE:
- Manage a team undertaking a mix of project work and day to day to support of on-prem and cloud services including, but not limited to:
o Exchange Online & email domain management
o Teams
o Microsoft Purview
o Azure Iaa S and Plaa S environments
o Azure AD & MFA
o Conditional Access Policies
o Privileged Identity Management
o SQL Server
- Oversee and assist in the implementation of system hardening, patching and vulnerability management in line with federal government security frameworks.
- Develop and oversee implementation of a team workplan
- Work with development and architectural teams to plan, design, and implement M365 / Entra ID products, features, and components
- Identify opportunities for improvement in environments or processes
- Drive the delivery of project outcomes in a timely, efficient and operationally effective manner
- Ensure cloud environment is optimised for Austrade’s needs and is cost effective
- Provide high level technical assurance and operational support in the delivery of Enterprise Platforms
- Liaise with external parties to manage product installations, maintenance, enhancements, and support work
- Consult and provide advice and assistance to management, users, external organisations, and IT staff as required.
- Plan for and procure licences & support for software, hardware and cloud subscriptions
- Represent Austrade at key business, stakeholder, and governmental forums.
- Skill sharing, ensuring skills transfer and mentoring of staff to support career and technical growth
