Job Title: Pathology Collector
Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a versatile Pathology Collector to join our team at Wi SE Medical. The ideal candidate will possess a valid pathology collection certificate and have at least one year of blood collection experience. This role primarily focuses on administrative duties, such as data entry and communication, to facilitate the efficient processing of patient samples and ensure accurate recording of results. Attention to detail and a dedication to maintaining patient-centered service are paramount for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify all details on pathology requests, including patient information and test requests.
- Collect blood, swabs, and other pathology samples from patients following established protocols and procedures.
- Ensure patient comfort and care throughout the collection process.
- Safely label, package, and transport samples to the laboratory for processing.
- Maintain accurate records of patient information and samples collected.
- Uphold infection control and hygiene standards at all times.
- Provide clear communication and support to patients regarding the collection process.
- Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and efficient service.
- Manage the safe disposal of clinical waste and used equipment.
- Maintain and stock collection equipment and supplies as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid pathology collection certificate.
- Minimum of one year's experience in blood collection.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing patient information.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.

- Training in specific systems and procedures will be provided as necessary.
