About the role
We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic State Manager to lead our NSW Branch based in our National office located in Macquarie Park.
Reporting to the Chief Sales Officer, the primary accountabilities are to:
- Lead, coach and manage the Branch to achieve their sales budget and/or related KPIs.
- Develop the skills and capabilities of the sales team in line with established sales methodology.
- Motivate and support the Branch to drive sales and manage internal processes from pre-sales to delivery to ensure success and achievement of targets.
- Work with the State Service Delivery Manager and the Service team to deliver high quality customer service.
- Provide timely and accurate completion of business plans, forecasts, internal order processes and customer management.
- Build and implement business strategies to develop new and existing account growth.
- Allocate work and projects to the team according to deadlines and business goals.
- Manage the engagement, retention and performance of employees within the team.
- Collaborate with other Branch Managers to drive additional business in traditional office product vertical.
- Collaborate with Vertical General Managers to drive business in key market areas.
- Develop relationships with large accounts.
- Manage the costs relating to the Victorian branch and look to innovative ways to reduce costs.
- Lead complex tender submissions.
- Implement a High Performance Culture strategy in line with a National plan.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership, business acumen and a sense of urgency
- Extensive experience in sales
- Proven track record of overachieving budgets
- Ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders
- Proactive approach to networking with corporate and government communities
- Exceptional presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to monitor performance against deadlines and milestones
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team
- Valid working rights for Australia
- Maintain a valid driving licence
