Medical Receptionist (full-time or part-time position) – Bodyfocus Wellness Centre

Are you an experienced Medical Receptionist looking to be part of a supportive and thriving team? Bodyfocus Wellness Centre, located in Sydney’s North West, is a leading Allied Health practice dedicated to providing holistic, patient-centred care. We are seeking a skilled receptionist to help us deliver exceptional service to both our patients and practitioners. Flexible options are available for full-time or part-time positions.
Key Responsibilities:

Efficiently schedule patient appointments, both in-person and over the phone
Promptly and courteously answer incoming calls
Warmly greet patients upon arrival and manage check-in processes
Liaise with external professionals, including specialists, GPs, and case managers
Manage patient documentation, including scanning and updating medical records, referrals, and specialist correspondence
Proficient with HICAPS and Medicare claims, as well as POS payments
Ensure daily reconciliation of payments
Maintain the cleanliness of the clinic during operational hours
Perform other duties as directed by the Practice Manager

Essential Attributes:

A minimum of 3 years of experience in a medical, specialist, or allied health practice
Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Experience with Prac Suite practice management software is highly desirable
Familiarity with HICAPS and POS payment systems
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, handling pressure with professionalism
Exemplary customer service skills with a patient-first approach
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Strict understanding of patient confidentiality and privacy
Flexibility to cover additional shifts as required

Practice Hours:

Monday to Friday: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm
Saturday: 8:00 am – 12:00 pm(You may be required to close on some shifts)

Pay Rate:$33 - $40 per hour, depending on experience.
