Are you passionate about helping people reach their full potential and want to make a difference with people learning and growing at work? We’re looking for a creative and collaborative Manager, Learning and Development, and Principal Learning and Development Consultant to join our team who will help us continue to grow the capability of our workforce by providing solutions that are fit for purpose, customer focused and trusted.
At the Department for Infrastructure and Transport we connect South Australians to keep our State moving. We want every South Australian to easily access the services they want, the transport they rely on and the infrastructure they need.
For us, it’s personal. We feel it because we live it. We know the projects and services we work on today must deliver for South Australia’s future.
We value diversity and inclusion and foster an environment of collaboration, flexibility, and support for our people.
The Opportunity
The People, Culture and Capability Directorate’s approach to our work is people centred, responsive, trusted and unified. We look after our people and drive a high performing workplace with strong leadership, organisational capability, and a diverse and inclusive culture that exemplifies our departmental values.
The Learning and Development team aims to grow the capability of our workforce to meet current and future business needs through collaboration with our customers and by providing customised learning pathways and solutions supported by the Department’s learning and performance system.
As the Manager or Principal Consultant, you will provide strategic direction for our department’s learning and development needs at organisational, team, and individual levels. You will design and implement training programs to address skills shortages, enhance leadership capabilities, and support career development. Collaborating with leaders and stakeholders, you will ensure our learning initiatives are aligned with business needs and drive organisational success.
About You
The successful candidates will have a solid foundational base in the Learning and Development arena, and demonstrate a strong ability to build and maintain effective and collaborative relationships with stakeholders across the organisation including subject matter experts. They will also possess the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally, and an approach to developing, maintaining and creating learning and development programs that are customer-focused and aligned with current and future business needs.
Organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities with a results-oriented focus will be important, transitioning between the hands on and strategic parts of the role – with no two days alike.
If you're ready to make a difference and shape the future of our organisation, apply now and join us on this exciting journey!
In return, we offer a dynamic, supportive and rewarding work environment where you'll have the opportunity to make impactful contributions and support our people as they deliver on the work that is making a difference for South Australia. With a focus on continuous learning, you'll gain exposure to a diverse range of HR, providing opportunities for professional growth and development. You'll work alongside talented professionals in a united team where your contributions are valued and recognised.
The Department offers a wide variety of learning and development offerings and is located in a brand-new building with great work and leisure facilities available.
