About the role We are currently seeking a Maintenance Fitter to join our maintenance team in a well-established role at our Port Lincoln terminal, located on the beautiful Eyre Peninsula. You will manage operational requirements to ensure plant and equipment is maintained to the highest standard while focusing on safety. Maximising uptime is critical to ensuring we can deliver an efficient and reliable service to our customers. This role will also provide you with day-to-day variety and problem solving, while also incorporating long term planning projects as part of our preventative and predictive maintenance programmes. The role would be primarily working Monday – Friday, additional requirements, on call work during our upcoming harvest, shipping, internal transfers, shutdown, and contractor permits which may happen on weekends.
Duties
Work with the maintenance team to identify and implement plant improvements and future capital projects.
Execute the preventative maintenance program in line with site operations.
Complete mechanical upgrades and improvements on fixed and mobile plant.
Fault finding and repairs for mechanical, hydraulic, diesel and pneumatic systems.
Take part in the maintenance on call roster.
About you
Trade Certificate – mechanical, fitting and fabrication all considered.
Bearing technology and lubrication techniques
Competent in interpreting hydraulic and pneumatic diagrams
Knowledge and experience with installation, commissioning and fault finding of diesel, hydraulic and pneumatic installations an advantage.
Ability to work at heights and within confined and restricted spaces.
Previous experience with power transmission maintenance and fault finding.
Current drivers’ licence is essential.
A forklift license, desirable.
