The role:
As a Leading Hand, you will assist in coordinating site-based activities, delegating tasks and responsibilities from the Supervisor, as well as taking overall accountability for our workforce.
Our HQ is in Newcastle and our footprint is the wider Hunter Valley, with a preference for local candidates, we also invite interstate candidates to apply.
Our projects can be quite regional in nature and will require DIDO - LAFHA and relevant allowances will be offered in these situations.
Your impact:
Your leadership will motivate our workforce to achieve safe & efficient outcomes, aiding in the delivery of our construction program.
Your every day:
- Assisting the Supervisor in managing the construction program.
- Accountability of site personnel and adherence to safety.
- Supervision of our own workforce as well as subcontractors.
- Preparation of SWMS, ensuring the delivery of toolboxes and fostering an overall culture of safety.
- Ensuring environmental compliance across our sites.
Who are you?
- 5+ years relevant civil construction experience.
- Relevant experience on civil construction machinery is an added bonus.
- Understanding of site-based protocols.
- Drivers license and own transport.
- Relevant tickets & licenses.
- Flexibility with working away from home is a must
