About the Opportunity Council is seeking an experienced Labourer to join their Parks and Recreation team, who will undertake of a range of horticultural duties as directed including the maintenance of Council’s park assets and the operation of horticultural plant and equipment.
This position is based in Chinchilla.
Reporting to the Parks and Recreation Supervisor, you will:
Operate of a range of horticultural plant and equipment in Councils parks, gardens and cemeteries;
Assist in carrying out programmed and reactive maintenance on a range of built assets and infrastructure;
Demonstrate a commitment to Work Health and Safety standards including hazard identification and reporting;
Complete allocated tasks consistently within agreed time frames; and
Assist with burial operations at the Cemetery and other duties as required.
About yourself The successful applicant will have:
Demonstrated ability to operate relevant horticultural plant/and or equipment including ride on mowers and brush cutters;
Demonstrated competence/experience in amenity horticulture;
A current Queensland C Class Licence. “MR” licence (Preferred or willing to obtain); and
An OH&S Construction Safety Induction White Card.
