The Opportunity
We currently have an opportunity for a qualified Rehabilitation and/or Allied Health Professional to join our Workers Compensation Claims team. Reporting to the Workers Compensation Rehabilitation Manager you will be responsible for assisting QBE Case Managers, Workers Compensation claimants and claims stakeholders through the rehabilitation and injury management process. This is a 6 month secondment opportunity with the possibility of becoming permanent.
The key responsibilities of this role are:

Provide day to day technical support, injury management coaching and motivation to Workers Compensation case managers and claims stakeholders in accordance with the Western Australia Workers Compensation and Injury Management Act

The screening of new claims and identify injury management and rehabilitation needs.

Monitor rehabilitation programs, and liaise and negotiate with external providers.

Implement, monitor and audit rehabilitation compliance, and prepare material and case studies for audits, and training.

Implement and monitor new procedures and processes.
About You
-
Excellent people, communication, written, and networking skills
-
Knowledge and understanding of injury management and rehabilitation
-
Three to five years clinical experience or workplace based rehabilitation experience, will be highly regarded
-
An Allied Health qualification in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Rehabilitation Counselling, Nursing, or Psychology, will be highly regarded
-
Have the ability to work towards set targets and compliance measures
-
Sound computer skills and an ability to prioritise
