The Job:
We are looking for our next Head of Audience Development & Growth to drive Val Morgan Digital’s email subscriber growth, audience growth, and distribution of content to drive business outcomes.
Whilst no two days are the same, the scope of the role consists of:

Developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy to increase email newsletter database
Establishing and maintaining audience reporting to assist all stakeholders in driving editorial/commercial outcomes
Developing distribution strategies for VMD content to drive business outcomes – increase in audience, pageviews, and affiliate revenue
Developing and driving SEO strategy in a world where AI is changing the way audiences find and consume content
Supporting execution of commercial content campaigns as it relates to email newsletter
Testing new concepts, portals and emerging platforms to drive audience growth
Working in collaboration with Director of Social & Platforms to set growth strategy for each platform

Who are we looking for?
This rare opportunity calls for someone with at least 5 years’ experience with a proven track record of growing audience channels – onsite, email, and socials. The ideal candidate will be analytical, organised and collaborative, and will also have:

Experience in developing SEO strategies and content strategies
Understanding of online culture and what makes content shareable
Building EDMs and segmenting audiences
Experience with analytics platforms and developing data dashboards
Understanding of Tik Tok, Instagram, Facebook, You Tube, Twitter, and emerging platforms and the content that performs on each
Understanding of Gen Z and Millennial audiences and be tapped into latest trends, formats, and platforms
Maturity dealing with sources, subjects, colleagues, and trolls
