General Manager

Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic leader to join us as our General Manager. This role emphasises leadership and overall management, including oversight of operations, administration, and finance. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving strategic outcomes by leading, mentoring and empowering their team, combined with exceptional communication and prioritization skills that align with our core RIVER values.
Key Responsibilities:

Operational Leadership: Oversee daily operations to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of high-quality products.
Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Managing Director to develop and execute strategic plans for growth and market expansion.
Customer Engagement: Identify opportunities to enhance relationships with clients, suppliers, and stakeholders, ensuring the highest standards of service.
Team Management: Lead and mentor a diverse team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Financial Management: Work closely with the Director to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.
Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, and mitigate operational risks.

Qualifications:

Minimum of five years’ experience in a senior operational role, with at least two years in a GM or operational lead role with full P&L responsibility.
Extensive experience across key commercial areas (finance, strategy, production, marketing) at both operational and strategic levels.
Proven leadership and communication skills.
Expertise in developing and executing strategic plans, reporting, and data analysis.
Approachable, energetic, and adaptable, with a hands-on, proactive attitude.
