The Role
Be a part of a project to redevelop the end-to-end actuarial valuation process. This initial contract is for 6 months, however for the right candidate there is potential for the contract to be extended.
You'll be responsible for
- Reviewing the data mapping of source system policy and claims data to the new reserving data mart being built.
- Completing user acceptance testing on new processes to deliver data extracts for the reserving valuations, including comparisons to existing extracts and SAS datasets, investigation and trouble shooting of variances.
- Providing support to the existing valuation team through the implementation of the new valuation processes and models.
- Liaising with the IT teams building and developing new system solutions, including workflow automation.
About you
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline with relevant accreditations.
- Python coding (for new process build)
- SAS coding capability (new data sets will be compared to existing data sets that reside on SAS)
- Understanding of actuarial valuation models
- Ability to partner and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
- Ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
- Good communication skills, written and verbal.
