This is an exciting opportunity for a mechanically minded and self-motivated individual! As a full-time Farm Attendant -Net Cleaner, you will maintain and operate our net-cleaning vessel. This full-time position is based in scenic Dover, in the stunning south of Tasmania, working across a 2/2/3 roster with 11.4-hour shifts. Start times are flexible to suit with your lifestyle! What does your week look like?
Working autonomously and managing a schedule to operate the net cleaning vessel between salmon pens
Lowering the cleaner head of our Remote Operated Vehicle (ROV) into our salmon pens
Using high pressure water discs to remove debris such as algae from the nets
Tracking progress and reporting on the status of the nets
Adhering to safety protocols and procedures at all times
Performing general farm hand duties as required
What can you bring?
Coxswain ticket (essential)
Diesel endorsement (highly regarded)
Physically strong and fit to perform this hands-on role
Previous on-water experience – this might be in a previous job or as a hobby!
Reliable transport and a driver’s licence to get to work
