Reporting to the Factory Manager of Processing, the Reliability Manager will ensure our seafood processing facility is running at its absolute best. This role is the cornerstone of our operations, playing an essential part in developing and implementing Maintenance Excellence practices that bolster equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance overall operational efficiency. Safety is paramount in our operations, and as the Reliability Manager, you will be the torchbearer of this principle, leading and coaching the maintenance team to foster a culture of continuous improvement. What does your week look like? Leadership and Direction: You’ll act as a strong influencer to motivate, guide, and engage the team to achieve goals. You’ll be accountable for developing the team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement whilst providing operational leadership on a daily basis to both direct and indirect teams, and maintaining clear communication amongst teams on the site. Project Management: Demonstrate your project management skills by running small to medium projects with precision and efficiency. Daily Operations: Communicate directly with the production and operations departments to prioritise issues, coordinate maintenance and repair work and oversee asset care. Budgeting: Ensure the department is efficient, cost effective, whilst delivering reliability results. Who are we looking for? Our ideal candidate will have:
An Engineering Degree (Mechanical or Electrical) or equivalent experience (trade qualified)
Proven experience in a maintenance or reliability management role within food/protein processing or FMCG
Strong knowledge of Maintenance Excellence principles, reliability improvement methodologies and root cause analysis
Excellent leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to coach, mentor and develop maintenance teams
Training in LEAN manufacturing principles
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Ability to maximise use of CMMS, and proven experience in setting up and managing maintenance KPI’s
