Our innovative Residential Services directorate is focused on providing a range of best-practice services in the community including innovative supported living, residential aged care, and the provision of service support and accommodation for retirees to maintain lifestyle, community, and independence while ageing.

Hey You
As Disability Support Worker, you will work as part of a team supporting clients within our shared supported accommodation homes in and across Hobart, TAS. You'll provide personal care, community access and person-centered support to clients, encouraging and empowering them to develop independent living skills and to support in their individual growth.

You’ll join a collaborative and supportive team and be provided with individualised training so you can best support our varied cohort of clients.

About You
Our ideal Disability Support Worker will display strong interpersonal skills and be able to quickly develop rapport with people of varied abilities and diverse backgrounds. You will be able to think on your feet and work autonomously as required.

You will meet the following essential requirements
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience with complex health supports
  • Minimum Certificate III or higher in Community Services (Disability) or equivalent;
  • Current Medication Administration (HLTAAP001 and HLTHPS006 or CHCSS00070)
  • Current First Aid Certificate with up-to-date CPR
Essential Requirements:
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People Check +NDIS endorsement
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check clearance
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check and NDIS Worker Orientation Module certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • Updated Assist with Medication curse
