In this role, you'll:
Partner with key stakeholders including NSW Train Link and act as the services communication lead for the Regional Rail Project (the single largest investment in regional rail in over 40 years).
You will provide strategic communications and engagement activities and advice, develop content, deliver campaigns, and support the delivery of customer programs and projects.
Support the day to day communications needs of the business as well as working on key strategic projects.
Be a part of the ‘new’ Train Link with a clear customer focus on connecting the regions of NSW by train and coach.
Develop, manage, and monitor communications strategies to support programs and projects. Identify project milestones and respond to any gaps in project deliverables through ongoing monitoring and evaluation.
Prepare content for internal and external channels (traditional and digital), ensuring content is engaging and strategically aligned with stakeholder needs and expectations.
Foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to enhance the image of the business and deliver opportunities to build employee understanding and engagement in programs and projects.
This is a fixed term contract until 22/05/2026.
Applicants based in regional NSW who live within commuting distance of a Transport hub, Sydney, Newcastle, Wollongong, or Grafton are encouraged to apply. Some travel within NSW to connect with other team members is expected 3-4 times per year.

About you
You will possess a high level of verbal and written communication skills with proven experience in developing and delivering communication plans for diverse audiences, as well as demonstrate practical knowledge and understanding of communications principles, best practice, current trends and technologies.
Knowledge and understanding of traditional and digital channels, creative design processes and campaign development and delivery.
Relevant tertiary qualifications or related discipline or extensive relevant experience.
You will be a strong influencer with the flexibility to rapidly change focus from a strategic project, to work on a more time sensitive task.
