The position is responsible for communicating with, and delivering services to coroners, families, witnesses, court users and stakeholders. This role requires you to operate within a dynamic, demanding and often sensitive operational environment, while maintaining a high quality of output and engagement with internal and external stakeholders.Your key responsibilities- Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of the relevant policies and processes governed by the Coroners Act 2003.- Ability to provide administrative support in a busy registry setting, including: o receiving reports of death and creating a case file.o opening and recording incoming correspondence.o preparing standard correspondence, court forms and documents (including autopsy orders and coronial findings).o preparing and maintaining files.o maintaining office supplies and equipment.- Organising appointments and meetings; data entry and the use of a case management database; and using a range of office equipment.- Ability to train and assist other team members.- Ability to communicate with sensitivity, tact, discretion, and confidentiality, including the ability to communicate about difficult and highly emotive issues.- Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and contribute to the accomplishment of team goals.
