About the role Baptist Care Griffith Centre is seeking a Catering/Servery Assistant on a permanent part time basis to present and deliver high quality nutritious meals to our residents. You will enjoy working in a large team who are committed and being able make a difference in the lives of residents. This role is a permanent part time role, working 48hrs a fortnight. Duties may include:
Assistance in basic meal preparation and serving
Making tea and coffee
Assisting Chefs with food prep when required
Working to achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness
Checking and recording temperature of food
Following all Food Safety Guidelines and HACCP program
Assisting with deliveries of stock and stock rotation
About you The successful applicant will be a team player who enjoys interacting with older people and has the right heart and drive to serve.
Previous kitchen/servery experience in a similar role
Understanding of work health and safety practices
Ability to work unsupervised and take on physically demanding tasks
Previous experience in aged care (desirable)
Willingness to work as part of a busy, friendly team
Strong focus, positive attitude and is well organised
Excellent communication skills
