Your role

The Assistant Project Officer undertakes a range of project research, analysis, reporting, implementation and administrative activities to support the development and delivery of projects, in line with established project plans and objectives.

What you’ll do

As part of the HCEA Strategy Unit in the System Reform division you will be joining a fast paced, high volume team who are passionate about driving a reduction of the number of children and young people in HCEAs, and reducing the number of vacancies across the funded service system.

The Assistant Project Officer role is part of the Central Access Unit (CAU). The CAU supports the delivery of all forms of non-home-based care. The project roles in this area assist to facilitate the entry of children and young people into non home based care models, where this is required, implement cost controls associated with HCEAs and Complex Needs and set up systems and processes to support initiatives across the non-home based care service system. Working in the CAU you will also assist in the implementation of the new Special OOHC mandate, centralisation of Service Level Agreements and the development of guidance and collateral which supported the mandate’s operationalisation. An understanding of the Intensive Therapeutic Care and non home based care service system is preferred.

The successful applicant will be motivated and commited to providing project and operational support, including monitoring and reporting on project plans, milestones and deliverables, to ensure time, cost and quality indicators are in line with approved project plans.
