About the role
AINs work under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) and in collaboration with Enrolled Nurses (EN) to assist in the delivery of patient care in the healthcare environment.
Your main duties will include:
Work with the RN and EN in establishing priorities for the patient/client care delivery such as bathing, dressing, feeding, personal care, and assistance with transfers and escorts.
Assist the RN and EN in the collection of appropriate data from patients, clients and/or family.
Maintains the ward in a clean and tidy state, including bed making, assisting clients with personal laundry needs; and assist with maintaining a safe ward/unit environment.
About you
Current Tasmanian Working with Children Registration
Generic Certificate III in Health Services Assistance HLT33115 / Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care) HLT33115; or
Current undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing student who has completed the first 2nd year clinical practice placement or is compliant with the relevant/current Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement; or
An enrolled nursing student who has completed their 1st clinical practice placement
