The Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (the Commission) was formed on 1 January 2019. The role of the Commission is to protect and enhance the safety, health, wellbeing and quality of life of people receiving aged care.
The Commission is the national end-to-end regulator of aged care services and the primary point of contact for consumers and providers in relation to quality and safety. Our vision is to support a world-class aged care system driven by empowered consumers who enjoy the best possible quality of life.
We aim to build confidence and trust in aged care, empower consumers, promote best practice service provision, promote quality standards and hold providers to account for their performance against the expected standards of care. About the Culture, Capability and Performance Team
The Culture, Capability and Performance (CCP) team builds the people capabilities, uplifts workplace culture and coordinates staff performance development within the Commission. CCP works with the Commission’s business areas across a broad range of people capability areas: the design, development and implementation quality learning solutions; design and coordination of initiatives to make the Commission an employer of choice; and the provision of expert advice and support of staff performance management. CCP work is driven by the strategic objectives of the Commission, including the Corporate Plan, Regulatory Strategy and aged care sector reform.
Purpose of position:
The Assistant Director Culture Capability and Performance- Culture is responsible for the development and implementation of the Commission’s culture-related initiatives, including the People Strategy, the Reconciliation Action Plan and the Diversity and Inclusion Strategy.
Position Duties
Develop clear project plans and communicate timelines to ensure successful implementation of initiatives
Monitor progress and the coordination of key projects, including APS Surveys and initiatives under the Commission’s Diversity and Inclusion Strategy
Provide strategic advice and leadership in responding and coordinating various surveys
Engage with stakeholders, building and maintaining positive relationships to ensure the successful completion of projects
Undertake research to ensure best practice is drawn from
Analyse data to draw conclusions and insights, and use such data to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
Communicate data insights via different mediums, and targeted to relevant audiences
Manage reporting requirements and ensure accuracy in data
Position Eligibility Requirements (Selection Criteria):
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
Experience leading effective teams - including work, engagement, wellbeing and performance management.
Excellent ability to use clear and influential communication skills to develop productive working relationships
Proven critical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
Communicate with influence and negotiate outcomes
Position Notes:
Salary offered will be between $114,247 - $130,300 per annum depending on skills and experience. In addition, 15.4% superannuation will be paid.
