About the team:
The Cultural Programs and Services team manages the City’s Civic Collection and delivers vibrant public cultural programs that celebrate the City’s diverse communities, encourage creative expression, and building social connections.
We are made up of artists, creative practitioners, historians and curators. People who are passionate about the community they serve, enjoy out of the box thinking and seek opportunities for creative expression in the work that we do.
About the role:
This Assistant Curator plays a pivotal role in conserving, cataloguing, interpreting, acquiring and presenting the Civic Collection. The position is part of a small, dedicated team with unique access to some incredible collections.
The work is dynamic and multifaceted with cross disciplinary skills being critical to keeping up with the busy pace. In the role you will be supporting the annual stocktake process, conducting research, maintaining and updating the curatorial information systems and supporting the coordination of the Curatorial Advisory Panel.

- are familiar with collection management database software
- have strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
