KCA – Millicent Mill Engineering scholarship has been offered to students studying Engineering for over 15 years and we are pleased to confirm that this will be continuing into 2025.
We will be awarding this scholarship to a student who has at a minimum completed Year 12, and will be undertaking full-time tertiary studies in 2025. The disciplines of Engineering relevant to a Manufacturing Process (e.g. Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical or Mechatronics) are recognised as applicable to this Scholarship.
The KCA – Millicent Mill Scholarship student will receive $2,000 per year for each year of the scholarship up to four years of a full-time degree if they progress successfully in their course of study.
Paid vacation employment will also be offered at the Mill to coincide with University holidays. Activities during vacation employment will be programmed to assist the student’s particular course.
At the successful completion of their course of study the scholarship holder will be considered for employment in our graduate program.
Selection will take into account:
Academic performance based on school reports for years 11 & 12 and, in the case of tertiary students, academic records for university studies to date.
Interview performance, aptitude for and commitment to the preferred course of study, and the level of interest in working in the manufacturing industry.
Extra-curricular activities, including community involvement, evidence of leadership activities, and references from teachers and other referees.
