Yel Solutions, a leading company IT outsourcing solution, incorporate IT/OT Production Assistance Technicians to join our team at a state-of-the-art production facility.
This role is critical for maintaining the continuity of our operations on a 24/7 basis.
The primary objective is to proactively address and resolve any IT/OT issues that may disrupt production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor IT/OT Infrastructure: Oversee various assets such as:
o HVAC systems, PDUs, UPSs, switches, APs, SD-WANs, and firewalls.
o WAN links, radio devices, cameras, and access control systems.
o Industrial automation devices like PLCs, HMIs, MCCs, VFDs, etc.
- Incident Response: Act on requests from the Control Room or plant operators to promptly assess, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
- Problem Solving: Utilize infrastructure tools and production applications (SCADA, PI) to handle incidents, aiming for first-contact resolution using documented procedures.
- Collaboration: Escalate complex issues to specialized teams as necessary and document incident resolution in the ticketing system.
- Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine tasks such as device patching and system reboots to ensure optimal performance.
Qualifications:
- Language: While day-to-day communication will be in Spanish, proficiency in English is required for documenting incidents, contributing to the Global Knowledge Base, and interacting with international teams.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience troubleshooting operational issues related to IT/OT infrastructure. Familiarity with devices mentioned above is essential.
- Soft Skills: Strong sense of urgency, systematic problem-solving abilities, and adherence to established procedures. Attention to detail and methodical work habits are critical.
- Industrial Experience: Prior experience in industrial or mining environments is highly desirable.
Working Conditions:
- Location: This position is based at a mining camp situated at 4000 meters above sea level in Salta Province.
- Roster System: Typical assignments follow a rotating schedule (e.g., 8 days on-site, 6 days off), though this may vary. We provide accommodations, meals, workwear, and transportation to/from Salta city.
- Shift Work: To ensure 24/7 coverage, technicians will work in shifts during their on-site roster.
