Desired qualifications and skills: Our ideal candidate

This position will provide knowledge and agricultural technologies to growers. Responsibilities include supporting our Research and Development (R&D) activities, such as trials, and data collection, and supporting other project activities as assigned.
The agricultural technologies covered range from new varieties, irrigation, and fertilizer application strategies to integrated pest and disease management for vegetables

I. Key Organizational Relationships

• Report to: R&D Director Crops / R&D Manager Crops
• Supervise: N/A

II. Duties and responsibilities

Responsibilities

• Support planning, setup, and execution of field trials with growers, ensuring compliance with trial guidelines and standards
• Collect accurate and comprehensive trial data, including crop development stages, soil conditions, and environmental variables
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of trial activities and observations for analysis and reporting
• Collaborate with the R&D Crops team to monitor trial progress, ensure smooth trial operations
• Contribute to the development of trial protocols and standard operating procedures
• Prepare concise reports and presentations summarizing trial findings and propose recommendations.

Additional Responsibilities

• Implement and support other projects in field research activities, focusing on irrigation system management and sustainability initiatives
• Support with any other assigned activities

III. Desired qualifications

Minimum Educational Requirement:

• Graduated from college/university of Horticulture/Agriculture (BSc), or related field. Previous experience in agricultural research, fieldwork, or data collection is a plus.

Language

• Excellent in both verbal and written Vietnamese
• English communication and writing skills are an advantage

Special Skills Required

• At least 2 years experience with vegetable and or fruit production
• Good communication skills (with local farmers)
• A strong passion for learning and developing new agriculture technologies and knowledge and making them available to farmers
• Ability to work on your own as well as part of a team
• Flexibility to work outdoors and travel to trial locations as required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data management software
• Trustworthy
