Compliance Manager (Social and Environment Responsibility)

  • Internal title: Manager, Responsible Sourcing Operation

Core Responsibilities:
  • Under the guidance of Director of Responsible Sourcing Operation team to manage the implementation of Responsible Business Principles (RBP) management in Vietnam value chain, including LEGO Site, suppliers and licensing partners to the LEGO Group .
  • Ongoing compliance work includes scheduling and following up on audits in Vietnam, reviewing and assessing audit reports, following up Corrective Action Plan.
  • Ongoing compliance work of the Responsible Sourcing Operation team including engaging with LEGO owned site operations teams to monitor compliance of construction project and set up management system for RBP requirements implementation for production, screening and auditing suppliers, identifying root causes of non-compliances found at audit (or otherwise, such as through grievance mechanisms or data submitted to the LEGO Group) and encouraging continuous improvement
  • Execute the global RS strategic initiatives in Vietnam, e.g. capability building programme, including supporting the development and delivery of guidelines, training courses and tools with suppliers and partners; grievance mechanisms; etc .

Do you have what it takes?
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field of supply chain social compliance will be preferred.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in handling social compliance within retail or supply chain industries is preferred.
  • Confident in mapping and assessing social compliance risk and presenting this to key collaborators, and driving corrective and prevention action plan.
  • Have experience in developing new learning and evaluation tools or guidance documents for internal and external use globally.
  • Experienced in reading and analyzing social audits, with expertise across a range of audit types (SMETA, ESCP(IETP), SA8000, BSCI, RBA, ILO etc.).
  • Proven knowledge and deep curiosity about international human and labor rights and CSR standards.
  • Experienced in working within global teams, understanding the cultural diversity.
  • Have high level of self-motivation, and have experience with distance management.
  • Be flexible to travel regularly within Vietnam with some long haul trips possible (e.g. Denmark).
