Bookkeeper for Accounting Agency - (Canada/Remote)

Our client, a Canada-based accounting firm, is seeking a dedicated Bookkeeper to join our team. This remote position allows you to work from the comfort of your own home while providing essential bookkeeping services to our clients. This is a full-time role. Ideally, we need someone who can work during Eastern Standard Time (EST) business hours, from 9 AM to 5 PM.
We're looking for someone with at least 3 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably with a background in accounting or finance. Certifications in Quick Books and/or Sage would be great.

The Bookkeeper will handle daily transactions, reconcile bank statements, process invoices, manage payroll, and prepare financial reports. They'll also assist with tax filings and ensure we're compliant with Canadian tax regulations.

- Perform standard bookkeeping duties with a client-facing approach
- Communicate effectively with clients via phone calls to address any bookkeeping needs
- Utilize Quick Books software for accurate financial record-keeping
- Conduct meetings with clients to review and discuss transactions
- Is mandatory to have knowledge in Canadian taxes.
- Expertise in quickbooks online and Sage online is mandatory
- Previous experience in bookkeeping or related field
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients
- Proficiency in using Quick Books or similar accounting software
- Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting related field
- Excellent English skills
- Open to work Central Time hours

- Competitive Salary: 700 - 1400 USD per month depending on certifications and experience (1000 - 2000 CAD a month)
